Dear Sir/Madam, I have booked 2 rooms in Thekkady, Kerala through Stayzilla.com 20 days before the check-in date. I have cancelled the hotel room booking 7 days before the check-in date but they did not refund even a single rupee. I have given their cancellation policy below. As per the cancellation policy, they should refund the amount after deducting 15%. When I requested to refund my money, they changed their cancellation policy at that point of time telling I need to cancel before 30days!!! in order to get the refund.. How can people change their policies in each and every minute!! Please let me know what need to be done for this. CANCELLATION POLICY OF STAYZILLA.COM 1) A cancellation penalty of 15% of the booking amount will be levied by Stayzilla.com on all cancellations post confirmation. 2) If you cancel the booking with less than 48 hours left to checkin and 24 hours before checkin, one night’s room rate will be charged in addition to the 15% cancellation charge. 3) If you cancel with less than 24 hours left to check in, you will be charged the entire cost of your stay. 4) Hotel’s cancellation policy, if different from Stayzilla’s policy, will take precedence. Your cancellations will be processed in 3 business days. Subsequently your refund payments (if any) will be processed in 30 business days. Please do understand that even though we refund the amount from our side, your bank may not process it till your next billing cycle. Regards, Roopa
