Hi, I have been FORCED to right down here cuz I had no other choice . Me and my family have been victims of UTTER UNPROFESSIONALISM and have bin CHEATED by THOMAS COOK LUDHIANA BRANCH . Here is an account of wat happened –

I am from Ludhiana ( Punjab ) and I contacted THOMAS COOK to book a USA CANADA group tour for my parents in may . All the initial formalities were done with including a token money of 1lakhs which we gave them for booking and Thomas cook people took visa appointment date from US embassy for my parents which was may end and my parents were booked on the group tour scheduled to leave on 12th July . Well my parents went in may end to Delhi for their scheduled interview at embassy n they got the visa but embassy said dat they will send the passports by post to the embassy Ludhiana . So we waited till June last week n since passports dint come by then , I called up Thomas cook people and asked them to book my parents for the next trip cuz Canada visa was yet to be secured and it was clear that now it will be late to apply for that and fly on 12th July as we received the passports on 1st July from US embassy . Well the branch head , ms harpreet , kept on delaying giving us excuses or not taking our calls or responding to our messages . I got fed up and went to their office twice but no one bothered . Finally after a chasing of whole one n a half month ( in august mid) , ms harpreet calls us and informs that she has orders from head office Delhi that we need to first pay cancellation charges of 1.5 Lakhs and then only she can make fresh bookings with fresh token money . I was SHOCKED cuz she said that she has adjusted the 1 Lakhs which we gave in charges and we owe her 50000 more and only then can she proceed for fresh bookings . After a week of writings one sided mails to head office , I gave up and called SOTC Ludhiana and booked my parents with them as they really needed to go out for they lost their only son ( my brother ) . SOTC was sooo professional and lived up to their claims of making your travel a worthwhile experience . Within ten days of contacting them , my parents flew off without a single head wrinkling experience . I hereby REQUEST EVERYONE, who plans to go via THOMAS COOK , PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON’T CONTACT THEM . Or else u might get cheated like we did of our 1 Lakhs . They are NOT AT ALL PROFESSIONAL OR SINCERE , but A BUNCH OF CROOKS ………. Please everyone – LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE AND MAKE A WISE CHOICE OF TRAVEL AGENCY – ” STRICTLY NO THOMAS COOK “
